Jimmy Odukoya has assumed the role of senior pastor at the Fountain of Life Church, succeeding his late father, Taiwo Odukoya. This announcement was made during a church service.
Pastor Rotimi Okpaise disclosed that Taiwo Odukoya had shared his succession plan with the board of trustees before his passing. The board unanimously selected Jimmy as the senior pastor and chairperson.
The installation of Jimmy as senior pastor is scheduled for September 30, 2023. This transition follows the passing of the church’s founder, Taiwo Odukoya, on August 7, 2023, in the United States at the age of 67.
Taiwo Odukoya had previously lost his wife, Nomthi, in 2021, after a two-year battle with cancer. He and Nomthi had been married for 11 years and had two sons. Prior to his marriage to Nomthi, Odukoya had been married to Bimbo for 21 years. Tragically, Bimbo lost her life in the 2005 Sosoliso plane crash in Port Harcourt, Rivers state.
