The first edition of ‘Ijebu WordPress Meetup,’ tagged ‘Meet, Greet and Network”, aimed at bringing WordPress Ijebu Community together was held Saturday, November 18, 2017.
The meeting or meetup in WordPress parlance took place at Geo-Bajas Hotel, Ijebu Mushin near Ijebu Ode.
WordPress Ijebu Community is a group of local WordPress users, bloggers, developers, designers, and publishers who get together to share their knowledge and experience, and to meet other WordPress users in the area.
The WordPress Meetup is open to all who love WordPress, whether you are a beginner or expert. Membership is free. If you would like to join the community, click here.
Hosted by Make WordPress Community, in attendance were Mary Job and Michael Job, both local co-organisers of the WordPress Ijebu Meetup. Other attendees of this maiden edition of the Ijebu Meetup include Deji Adedeji of DigitalRig Ltd and Founder of NoworryHost, Mr. Tayo Banjo.
Although members attendance at the meetup was low, which the local organizers attributed to the short notice of the event, as there was not much publicity done as a result, they are of the opinion that the next meetup, slated for December 19, 20017 will be much bigger and well attended.
