The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested four Chinese nationals and 101 Nigerians for alleged involvement in cybercrimes.
In a statement shared on its X (formerly Twitter) account on Friday, the EFCC revealed that the suspects included 67 men—among them the Chinese nationals—and 38 women.
The arrests took place on Thursday at a business apartment in the Gudu area of Abuja. The suspects are accused of participating in a “hotel review job” scam that targeted victims and hotels in Europe and other regions worldwide.
The EFCC emphasized that this operation is part of its ongoing efforts to combat internet fraud and corruption in Nigeria.
The agency added that the suspects would be charged in court after investigations are concluded.
