Anthony Joshua, the Nigerian-British professional boxer, recently encouraged Nigerians living abroad to visit their home country, Nigeria. In a viral video following his visit during the Yuletide season, the two-time heavyweight champion emphasized the importance of staying connected to one’s roots.
In the video, Joshua urged Nigerians abroad to reconnect with their families, friends, and communities in Nigeria, describing it as an amazing place that one must experience firsthand to fully appreciate. He expressed his hope that his message would reach them quickly.
Earlier, Joshua had shared a picture of himself with his relatives and other Nigerians in Nigeria on social media platform X.









During his visit, Joshua was also hosted by Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, at her home. Dabiri-Erewa praised Joshua for his humility, strength, grace, and character, referring to him as a true champion.
Joshua’s message and visit highlight his strong connection to Nigeria and his efforts to encourage fellow Nigerians abroad to maintain ties with their homeland.
