After the news of Bill and Melinda Gates’ divorce, her eldest daughter, Jennifer Gates, spoke up.
Ogun Today reported that Bill and Melinda announced on Monday that they are divorcing after 27 years of marriage.
They said that they could no longer work together but would continue to share their faith in the mission and continue to work together at the Foundation.
When the 25-year-old girl responded to the news, she found that her family had been through “challenging times” since the couple first got the idea.
Jennifer, who is the oldest child of the Gates, said on her Instagram page that it pained her parents to break up.
Her post reads: “I am still learning how to best support the process and emotions of myself and my family members, and I am grateful for the space to do so.”
“I will not comment on their breakup, but please seek your support and kind words that mean a lot to me.”
Bill and Melinda Gates have three children together. Jennifer is the oldest, followed by 21-year-old Rory and 18-year-old Phoebe.
