Ogun State House of Assembly has approved all commissioner nominees of Governor Ibikunle Amosun.
This was done yesterday Thursday 8, October 2015 after the 18 nominees were screened by the Committee of the Whole House headed by its Speaker, Surajudeen Ishola Adekunbi.
According to the Deputy Speaker, Olakunle Oluomo, who presented the report of the screening at the plenary on Thursday, due diligence was followed in the screening of the nominees.
Oluomo further stated that no security report was received on any of the commissioner nominees, adding that “their nominations were applauded by members of the Assembly representing their constituencies regardless of party affiliations.”
The Majority Leader of the House, Yinka Mafe moved a motion for the adoption of the report while Oduntan Razaq, a PDP member, representing Yewa North II State Constituency seconded it.
Hon. Mafe also moved the motion for the approval of the nomination request and was seconded by Yetunde Sogbein from Odeda State Constituency before a voice vote which approved the nomination request.
