The 25-year-old striker joins us after recently making a name for himself as one of the top scorers in the Premier League. Over the course of his five seasons in Manchester, he made 236 appearances and scored 95 goals across all competitions.
Gabriel has won the FA Cup, League Cup, and the Premier League four times each. He has made 56 appearances and scored 19 goals for the Brazil national team since making his full international debut for his nation in September 2016. He was a part of the team that won the 2019 Copa America. Gabriel has distinguished himself during his international career by winning a gold medal at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games and participating in the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
With a youth contract signed in 2013, Gabriel began his development through Palmeiras’ youth program. His prolific goal-scoring enabled him to advance rapidly to the first team, where he made his debut in March 2015 at the age of 17. In 2016, when Palmeiras won the Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A, Gabriel was a key member of the team and was chosen as the league’s Bola de Ouro – Player of the Season.

Gabriel is a player whose talent we have long respected. He is a 25-year-old veteran of the Brazil national team who has continually shown that he is a very good player. Before the start of the new season, we eagerly anticipate seeing him pair up with his new teammates. Gabriel is warmly welcomed to Arsenal.

Gabriel will shortly begin preseason training with the Gunners team and don the number 9 jersey.
