A division of the Nigerian Army, the 81 Division says it will conduct small arms proficiency exercise from March 2 to March 18 at Ajilete Range, Ogun State.
The spokesman of the Division Lt.-Col. Olaolu Daudu said in a statement in Lagos today that the exercise would be held to improve on troop’s level of weapon handling.
“The exercise is to ascertain the serviceability of weapons and ammunition as well as prepare its troops for Nigerian Army Small Arms Championship.
“Consequently, the people of Lagos and Ogun states are advised not to panic during the period of the exercise especially people resident in Ajilete Area,” the army said.
