The Ogun State Government has announced the passing away of Agura of Gbagura, Oba Halidu Adedayo Ajani Olaloko ( Sobekun II) of Gbagura Kingdom, Abeokuta North Local Government Area of the State.
This was contained in a release signed by the State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Chief Jide Ojuko, who confirmed the sad news after his visit to the Agura Palace.
The statement added that Late Adedayo Ajani Olaloko joined his ancestors at the early hours of Thursday, July 12, 2018 after a protracted illness at the age of 78.
Oba Olaloko ascended the throne of his forefathers as Agura of Gbagura in 1980 and would be laid to rest by 4.00pm today, according to Muslim rites.
An official delegation according to the statement, would be sent to the family by the State government as soon as possible.
