Bill And Melinda Gates Announced Their Divorce In A Touching Statement After 27 Years Of Marriage

Bill and Melinda Gates announced the end of their marriage after 27 years in a moving statement on Twitter.

She said: “After much thought and work on our relationship, we decided to end our marriage.

“Over the last 27 years we have raised three great children and created a foundation that works around the world to help everyone lead healthy and productive lives.

“We continue to share our faith in this mission and will continue to work together at the Foundation, but we no longer believe that we can grow together as a couple in the next phase of life.

“We want space and privacy for our families as we find our way in this new life.”

The couple has three children; Jennifer, 25, Rory, 21, and Phoebe, 18, Melinda, 56, nine years younger than Bill.

During the pandemic, its establishment was focused on the development and distribution of a COVID-19 vaccine worldwide.

Shortly after her 25th wedding anniversary in 2019, Melinda told the Sunday Times that Bill struggled to balance work with family.

He said, “We’ve just reached a point in life where Bill and I can laugh about a lot more.

“And believe me, I can remember some really hard days in our marriage when you think, ‘Can I do this?’

Melinda said Bill was even reluctant to get married at all, adding, “When there are problems deciding to get married, it’s very clear that it’s not about me, but about ‘Can I strike the right balance?’ ‘between work and family? “”

Last month, Bill Gates urged Britain to end cutting cuts in foreign aid, warning it was “very important” to get a vaccine for the world’s poorest.

The Microsoft founders criticized the Tories decision for violating their commitment to spend 0.7% of gross national income on foreign aid and reducing it to 0.5%.

About 200 charities in the UK have signed a joint declaration stating that cutting foreign aid budgets will be a “tragic blow” to many of the world’s most vulnerable communities.

Foreign Minister Dominique Raab came under fire when he made a statement about the aid budget late Wednesday.

Mr Gates said Britain had played a key role in helping Gavi, the international vaccine alliance, but this would be damaged if aid costs were not fully reimbursed.

“The sooner Britain can get aid back with 0.7%, the better,” he told Sky News on Sunday to Sophie Ridge.
