Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Odogbolu Local Government Area have formally endorsed Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, for the Ogun East Senatorial seat in the 2027 general elections.
The endorsement came on Wednesday during a well-attended stakeholders’ meeting, where the motion was moved by Hon. Femi Ogunbanwo Omo-Iwa, the federal lawmaker representing Odogbolu. It was immediately seconded by the Odogbolu APC Chairman, Akogun Muyiwa Idowu.
Party leaders, elders, and executives from all wards said their decision was driven by Governor Abiodun’s “exceptional leadership, transformative projects, and unwavering commitment to the progress of Ogun State.” They noted that his performance and experience make him the best candidate to represent Ogun East in the Senate.

The stakeholders pledged full grassroots mobilisation to support Abiodun’s senatorial bid, saying Odogbolu is proud to champion the call for his 2027 ambition. They said consultations would soon begin with other local governments in Ogun East to consolidate wider support.
